Shape the future

Graduates can have a huge impact on Monash University students through mentoring.

Our alumni are helping final year students move from study to a professional career.

Each year, the Monash Alumni Relations team seeks prospective mentors and mentees. We partner a mentor with a mentee and provide guidance during the academic year.

We are currently seeking students (mentees) for this year's program. If you would like to join, please register via the online application form.

The benefits to mentees and mentors are tangible! In the words of mentee, Sophie Schofield:

“What my mentor has tried to impart to me, I believe, is that what I really need to do is get my priorities in order – find out what matters to me and what I am passionate about.”

Our mentors are enjoying the experience, commonly saying they are learning and being inspired by their protégés.

Through the mentoring program, each mentor develops a one-on-one partnership with a student. The foundations for these relationships are:

• mutual respect
• honesty
• encouraging feedback
• a genuine interest to learn from each other
